1. Lawsuit to Stop California Law That Censors Doctors’ Speech (AB 2098)
Children’s Health Defense, representing plaintiffs Dr. LeTrinh Hoang, Physicians for Informed Consent and Children’s Health Defense – California Chapter, sued California Attorney General Rob Bonta and the Osteopathic Medical Board of California over a new law that subjects the state’s doctors to discipline for sharing “misinformation” or “disinformation” about COVID-19 with their patients.
California Assembly Bill 2098 (AB 2098), signed into law on Sept. 30, subjects the state’s doctors to discipline — including the suspension of their medical licenses — for sharing “misinformation” or “disinformation” about COVID-19 with their patients. The law is set to take effect Jan. 1, 2023. A hearing on the motion for preliminary injunction is scheduled for Jan. 23, 2023.

2. Intervention in Missouri v. Biden
Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Dr. Joseph Mercola and Ty and Charlene Bollinger moved to intervene in the Missouri v. Biden First Amendment case on behalf of the public interest, themselves and their respective organizations — Children’s Health Defense (CHD), Mercola.com, The Truth About Vaccines (TTAV) and The Truth About Cancer (TTAC). The intervention intends to gain access to specific discovery and depositions for use in pending litigation against social media platforms. The intervenors are among the 12 specifically disfavored speakers the Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH) has labeled the “Disinformation Dozen” who have been censored and de-platformed by major social media platforms alleging that they are working with — and taking orders from — the federal government.
