‘This Week’ With Mary + Polly: Feds Already Bought Vaccines for Youngest Kids + More

In “This Week” with Mary Holland, Children’s Health Defense president, and Polly Tommey, co-producer of “Vaxxed,” Mary and Polly discussed the latest news on COVID vaccines and other issues.

'This Week' with Mary & Polly

This week, Mary Holland, Children’s Health Defense president, and Polly Tommey, co-producer of “Vaxxed,” cover the latest COVID-19, Big Pharma and other headlines, including a study claiming COVID death figures that led to lockdowns and panic may have been wrong. Plus, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention removed tens of thousands of deaths the agency said it “accidentally” attributed to COVID.

Polly and Mary also discussed that Israeli researchers found the fourth dose of the Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 mRNA vaccines resulted in very little protection from SARS-CoV-2 infection.

Also on tap this week: Pfizer filed for Emergency Use Authorization of a second booster shot for people 65 and older, and two UK residents died from blood-clotting disorders linked to the AstraZeneca vaccine, coroners confirm.

Here are more of this week’s highlights:

  • Hailey Baldwin Bieber is recovering from a blood clot that moved to her brain, a health problem that is happening in “younger and younger people” said a vascular neurologist.
  • Thailand’s National Health Security Office as of March 8 paid the equivalent of $45.65 million to settle COVID-19 vaccine injury compensation claims under a system that is relatively easy to navigate, and quick to pay. The U.S. has paid $0. “This is an excellent article,” said Mary. “This proves that when you are vaccine-injured here, you are on your own.”
  • A D.C. judge ruled 11-year-olds can’t get vaccines without parental consent. “This is very exciting,” said Mary.
  • “Healthy children don’t need COVID vaccines. Florida is right.” “This is a mainstream media outlet reporting this,” said Polly.
  • Letting politicians dictate patient care, which prevents physicians from practicing medicine and saving patients’ lives, is a core problem, said Drs. Robert Malone and Peter McCullough.
  • “We must get a vaccine approved for the youngest children,” said Dr. Ashish Jha in a new White House statement. “The government has already bought these vaccines for the youngest children,” said Mary. “No surprise here.”
  • Dr. Gregory Poland, a vaccinologist at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, developed tinnitus after his second dose of an mRNA vaccine. He is raising questions about this side effect from the vaccine and suggesting more research is needed. “This is so interesting,” said Mary. “Things are shifting in the mainstream narrative.”
  • The Daily Show’s Trevor Noah lampooned New York City’s COVID vaccine mandates after Brooklyn Nets point guard Kyrie Irving was allowed to attend a Nets game in Brooklyn — but wasn’t allowed to play in the game or enter the locker room because he’s unvaccinated.
  • Vaccine hesitancy reduced Florida’s infant mortality in 2021. “This shows us that vaccines do more harm than good to infants,” said Mary.
  • Sen. Rand Paul (R.-Ky.) introduced an amendment to eliminate Dr. Anthony Fauci’s position as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. “This is a great idea,” said Polly.
  • The National Institutes of Health launched and is sponsoring clinical trials of three HIV vaccines based on mRNA technology. “I believe there is a real possibility we will see a surge in HIV cases,” said Mary. “Watch this space.”
  • The World Health Organization looks to be planning to seize power over health systems and push the world toward universal health coverage.
  • Historian and professor Yuval Noah Harari warned if we allow the establishment of a digital dictatorship, where the system, be it a corporation or a government, knows the most intimate details about each and every person, it will be impossible to dismantle it.
  • Your appliances, car and home are designed to make your life easier and automate tasks you perform daily — but they’re also collecting information about you and communicating that information over the internet. “This is a big warning to us,” said Polly.
  • The U.S. Food and Drug Administration said beef from gene-edited cattle is “safe” food for humans.
  • Despite being touted as a solution to the problem of factory farming, what the industry calls “cultured meat” is made with fetal bovine serum, which makes lab-grown meat expensive, non-vegetarian and unethical. “The only way we can truly know we are not eating this is if our beef label specifically says non-GMO,” said Mary.
  • The New Hampshire House passed a bill allowing the state’s pharmacists to dispense ivermectin over the counter, without a prescription. HB 1022 also prevents New Hampshire medical licensing boards from disciplining doctors for prescribing the drug.
