This week, Mary Holland, Children’s Health Defense president, and Polly Tommey, CHD.TV programming manager, covered the latest headlines on COVID-19, Big Pharma and other issues, including news that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) dropped quarantine distancing recommendations, as 1.3 million reports of injuries following COVID-19 vaccines were submitted to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System.

Polly and Mary also discussed that the CDC said the agency “streamlined” its COVID-19 guidance so the public can better protect itself — but what really changed?

Plus, as claims of COVID-19 vaccine makers skipping animal trials resurfaced and started trending again on social media, political commentator Kim Iversen “fact-checked the fact-checkers” in her latest episode of “The Kim Iversen Show.”

Also on tap this week: Dr. Peter Hotez, who received a $6.1 million grant from the National Institutes of Health for the development of a SARS vaccine that had the stated aim of responding to any “accidental release from a laboratory,” denounced plans next year to conduct hearings into the possibility that SARS-CoV-2 leaked from the Wuhan lab in China.

More of this week’s highlights:

  • Heading into the fall, many Americans have concerns about two evolving viruses, the highly transmissible BA.5 SARS-CoV-2 Omicron subvariant and monkeypox.
  • Children and teen vaccination rates began plummeting with the pandemic. As concerns surfaced around the safety of COVID-19 vaccines, some parents also began questioning the need for the long list of other vaccines recommended by public health officials. “This says it all,” said Polly.
  • Quadruple vaccinated Pfizer CEO tested positive for coronavirus. “It is bizarre,” said Mary.
  • The U.K. became the first country to approve an updated COVID-19 vaccine from Moderna targeting the Omicron variant as well as the original strain of the virus. “People need to think twice before getting these vaccines,” said Mary.
  • Dr. Robert W. Malone, original inventor of mRNA and DNA vaccines, joined Brian Hooker, Ph.D., host of CHD.TV’s “Doctors & Scientists,” to discuss COVID-19 vaccines and the “deep and broad” corruption throughout federal public health agencies. “He is a true insider,” said Mary.
  • Novavax filed for U.S. authorization to use its COVID-19 vaccine as a booster dose in people who had received its shots or a different vaccine.
  • Novavax shares fell 30% as waning COVID-19 vaccine demand hit outlook.
  • Children living in London will be offered an extra dose of the polio vaccine following the discovery of poliovirus in sewage in England. Polio cases have been on the rise globally since 2016, and the resurgence is related to the use of vaccines. “Polio is back on the radar,” said Mary.
  • New York City will transition some of its COVID-19 vaccination sites for children under 5 this week to offer the monkeypox vaccine. “Please, parents, do your thorough research on this vaccine,” said Polly.
  • The first case of a dog with a confirmed monkeypox virus infection might have been acquired through human transmission.
  • The World Health Organization renamed variants of the virus monkeypox to counter concerns about the original naming conventions. They went to Twitter for input.
  • Nurses who left the healthcare field described “brutal” COVID-19 patient protocols.
  • A new study published in the Journal of Cannabis Research found that a small sample of cannabis users had less severe cases of COVID-19 during their hospital stay than non-users. “An interesting article,” said Polly.
  • “Under the Skin,” a new documentary by science journalist Bert Ehgartner, explores research into the aluminum compounds used in vaccines, including a new “extra-strong” aluminum compound in Merck’s Gardasil vaccine for human papillomavirus. “This looks to be a fantastic documentary,” said Mary.
  • Zoey O’Toole, Mary Holland and Polly Tommey participate in a valuable discussion on a critical piece of literature, “Turtles All the Way Down: Vaccine Science and Myth.” “This book helps people to understand,” said Mary. “It is well worth buying.”
  • In Canada and across the globe, doctors are being coerced and attacked, individuals are being mandated to vaccinate and families are being injured and divided — all in the name of “science.”
  • This Friday, join Mary LIVE in Nuremberg for the 75th anniversary of the Nuremberg Code. “I am very proud that I will be there with other citizens from around the world to talk about the importance of the code in society,” said Mary.
