This week’s episode of “Community Corner,” featured a discussion of some of the risks and harms of masking students, and whether the practice is effective.

Guests included Kristen Meghan, an expert in occupational and environmental toxicology, and Tammy Clark, an environmental health and safety professional with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

Meghan and Clark have more than 33 years combined experience working in the public health field, serving on various infectious disease and pandemic preparedness committees. They also have served as legal and court-approved experts on Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and respiratory health, and have assisted in the preparation of pandemic and emergency response plans.

Both experts are committed to educating the public about how one-size-fits-all mask mandates are unethical and dangerous to public health.

During this week’s program, Meghan and Clark discussed the physical risks, such as hypercapnia (carbon dioxide poisoning), that can lead to permanent brain damage, as well as the psychological harms of wearing masks.

The two experts noted that lockdown measures and social distancing lead to an increase in depression, anxiety and suicides among young people during the pandemic.

They stressed the importance of parents pushing back at the local level by demanding change from their school districts’ boards of education and trustee members.

Also joining the show this week were Cait Corrigan from Students Against Mandates, and Dr. Lisa Sulsenti, a chiropractor. On
