Risa Evans, Esq.

Staff Attorney, Children's Health Defense

Risa Evans is a staff attorney at CHD. She leads CHD’s FOIA efforts.Risa Evans leads CHD’s Freedom of Information Act efforts and works on other legal issues as they arise. She began her legal career as a public defender.

After her daughter was born, she left law and spent a decade homesteading and homeschooling. She then worked as a law professor, teaching legal writing and lawyering skills. She joined CHD as a legal fellow in 2022 and is now a staff attorney.
