This week, Mary Holland, Children’s Health Defense (CHD) president on leave, and Polly Tommey, CHD.TV programming manager, covered the latest headlines on COVID-19, Big Pharma and other issues, including the rally and march in memory of Simpsonwood, where Mary and others spoke. On June 7-8 of 2000, government scientists, vaccine manufacturers and other public health officials secretly met in Georgia and revealed the link between autism and thimerosal in immunizations. Twenty-three years later, the dangers of vaccination continue to be censored.
Polly and Mary also discussed the World Health Assembly meeting, at which the World Health Organization (WHO) approved a 20% budget increase to fight pandemics and other health emergencies.
Additionally, the WHO launched new fundraising initiatives, warned of future outbreaks and diseases, announced a collaboration with the Rockefeller Foundation to promote new vaccines and more. Watch the full assembly meeting on CHD.TV.
Plus, the WHO and European Union launched a new global vaccine passport initiative. “These things are already all in motion,” Mary warned. The use of digital health certifications begins this month with the implementation of a global network for identifying COVID-19 vaccination status.
Also on tap this week: The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) launched an updated “Rumor Control” hub with the aim of combating misinformation. Members of the public can watch the video on the site and use FDA tools to identify and report “false, inaccurate, or misleading” information.
While some organizations studied incorporating “trust” and “distrust” buttons on social media platforms, CHD sued members of the Trusted News Initiative for colluding with tech giants to censor online news.

- Almost 200 attendees of a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) conference tested positive for COVID-19 despite a high rate of vaccination, according to an agency survey.
- While most adults in the U.S. are declining COVID-19 boosters, the CDC warned about the risk of hospitalization for those who are not up-to-date. “People are catching on,” noted Mary.
- CHD scientists called for an investigation of suppressed evidence related to COVID-19 shots and myocarditis.
- Researchers at Kaiser Permanente claimed that mRNA has “no serious side effects” for young children. Polly called this analysis “the beginning of … lies and terror ahead.”
- Two New York hospitals announced they will rehire employees fired over the COVID-19 vaccine mandate. Mary reminded viewers of the CHD lawsuit “that forced the department of health in New York to abandon its mandate for healthcare workers.”
- Comedian Russell Brand and physician and documentarian Dr. Bob Gill discussed Dr. Anthony Fauci’s replacement at the National Institutes of Health and her deep ties to Big Pharma.
- The Global Health Project released a video — “The Oath” — featuring physicians’ testimonies on how they were effected by the silencing of dissent during the COVID-19 pandemic. Mary responded that numerous doctors suffered at the hand of a “co-opted” medical establishment.
- Is a new virus on the rise? Vaccines to treat human metapneumovirus, a little-known lung infection, are in the pipeline while an increase in cases was detected at the beginning of 2023.
- Monoclonal antibody shots for protecting infants and toddlers from respiratory syncytial virus were a hot topic at a June 8 FDA advisory committee meeting during which the shots were recommended.
- Novavax signed a three-year deal with the Bill & Melinda Gates Medical Research Institute for the development of malaria and tuberculosis (TB) shots.
- Twenty years ago, a study using the CDC’s Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) revealed febrile convulsions and death in infants after DTP immunization for diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis. What might these findings have suggested about vaccine safety if more parents had known about them?
- Merck, in collaboration with the U.S. federal government, received over 50 grants worth $40 million to push for human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine uptake. “People have to make their own choices,” Mary stated. CHD has supported over 60 lawsuits against Merck’s Gardasil HPV shot since 2019.
- Both Microsoft and Amazon owe at least $20 million in settlements for privacy violation charges in relation to children’s personal information. “Parents beware,” cautioned Polly.
- What is the truth about lab-grown meat? According to Dr. Mercola, the majority of cultured meat companies use fetal bovine serum in the production of fake meat.
- CRISPR-edited foods are making their way into our grocery stores. A company called Pairwise created genetically modified salad greens to sell to U.S. consumers. “Who would want to buy food that raises cancer risk?” asked Mary.
