On the latest episode of “Doctors and Scientists” on CHD.TV, host Brian Hooker, Ph.D., P.E., interviewed Dr. Paul Thomas, a Portland, Oregon, integrative pediatrician and author and host of CHD.TV’s “Against the Wind.”
The two discussed a new book on how Thomas story lost his medical license after publishing a controversial study on the health of his vaccinated patients versus those not vaccinated.
The book — “The War On Informed Consent: The Persecution of Dr. Paul Thomas by the Oregon Medical Board” — was written by Jeremy R. Hammond and released in August.
Hooker and Thomas discussed how with COVID, history is repeating itself, as the CDC is using the same tactics to prevent doctors from treating patients with COVID as they used to prevent Thomas from treating his young patients.
Hooker and Thomas also discussed the latest science and government incentives for COVID hospitalizations.
Thomas said:
“Anyone who walks through the door of a hospital gets swabbed for COVID. If it’s positive — cha-ching! — they just made a whole bunch of money. Now, if they can intubate that patient, the amount of money they get skyrockets.”
Thomas described the evolution of his practice, from recognizing the first case of autism to disrupting the status quo at the CDC when he tried to create an alternative vaccination plan — “The Vaccine-Friendly Plan” — for parents who wanted one.
He also respected the wishes of families who, after given informed consent, chose to opt-out of the childhood vaccines program altogether.
The CDC told Thomas he had to prove the vaccine-friendly plan worked as well as the CDC childhood vaccination schedule. Thomas came up with the idea of making a data quality analysis, which he co-authored with James Lyons-Weiler, Ph.D.
The 2020 study found unvaccinated children are healthier than vaccinated children. Conducted among 3,300 patients in Thomas’ practice, it became one of the largest vaccinated versus unvaccinated studies of a specific population ever published in a peer-reviewed journal.
“Within a week or so, they yanked my license for clearly publishing the data that they had asked for,” Thomas said.
He added:
“I’ve lost track of the hundreds of emails back and forth between attorneys and the board and myself and multiple requests … I think I now have a little bit of PTSD. In my case, they never close a complaint, which is unheard of.”
Hooker worked with the same data to publish a study that adds to a growing list of peer-reviewed papers comparing the health of vaccinated children to the health of the unvaccinated. Each and every time, the data found the scope of vaccine harms are underestimated and the epidemic of chronic illness in children is among the vaccinated.
As Thomas described in detail how he was targeted by the CDC, Hooker asked why the CDC would continue to do this? And why won’t they look at the data?
Thomas replied:
“The vaccine program is what they are all guns going forward on — protecting the vaccine program. It’s nothing about protecting the health of children. It’s all about protecting the program.”
