This week, Mary Holland, Children’s Health Defense (CHD) president on leave, and Polly Tommey, CHD.TV programming manager, covered the latest headlines on COVID-19, Big Pharma and other issues, including news that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. officially launched his campaign for the Democratic nomination for president, telling an overflow crowd in Boston that if he has not “significantly dropped the level of chronic disease in our children by the end of my first term, I do not want you to reelect me.”
Polly and Mary also discussed that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration ended Emergency Use Authorization for the original, monovalent COVID-19 vaccines and instead authorized the bivalent vaccine, which previously was available only as a booster, for all doses of the vaccine for people ages 6 months and older.
Plus, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention hired a marketing firm to write what looked like news articles but were actually ad placements created to persuade parents of young children and elderly people to get flu shots, according to documents obtained by CHD.
Also on tap this week: One orthopedic surgeon had his career ripped away from him by developing a career-ending condition just seven days after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.
More of this week’s highlights:
- A 43-year-old woman who received a COVID-19 vaccine booster died four days later, a coroner’s court heard on April 14 in Singapore. The cause of her death was determined to be myocarditis, or inflammation of the heart. “Coroners are speaking out as they are seeing this so commonly,” said Mary.
- A U.K. doctor died from a reaction to the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccination in one of the first rounds of vaccinations, a coroner ruled.
- There are 45 times as many deaths after COVID-19 vaccines in just two years, compared with all flu vaccine-related deaths since 1990, data shows. “How shocking is this,” said Mary. “It is outrageous.”
- A California church that defied safety regulations during the COVID-19 pandemic by holding large, unmasked religious services must pay $1.2 million in fines, a judge ruled. “This is a really fundamentally important case,” said Mary.
- Pork producers have been using customizable mRNA-based “vaccines” on their herds since 2018, without telling the public. “We don’t even know what this means for our health long-term,” said Polly.
- A 13-year-old Ohio boy died after attempting the TikTok “Benadryl challenge.” “This is another example of why 13-year-olds still need parental supervision,” said Mary.
- California lawmakers hope to ban five toxic chemicals used in the manufacturing of many processed foods. Combined, the chemicals damage the central nervous system, disrupt the gut microbiome and are linked to hyperactivity in children. “People just don’t know this information,” said Polly.
- After determining bird flu had subsided, the U.K. government on April 18 lifted its poultry lockdown in England and Wales, allowing farmers to market eggs laid by hens as “free-range” again.
- Smart and digital utility meters are actively being deployed and mandated across the U.S. without adequately informing consumers of health, safety and privacy risks. Tell your federal and state legislatures to introduce smart meter choice. “Please do this,” said Polly. “This is so important.”
- A new study from Sweden showed that a previously healthy woman developed symptoms of “microwave syndrome” shortly after a 5G cell tower was installed nearly 200 feet from her apartment. “This is a really good article,” said Mary.
- The Federal Reserve pushed back against claims that its FedNow digital payments system is equivalent to a central bank digital currency, but critics say the aim is the same: government control over the financial system. “If the government can control your bank account, which they do with this system, you could literally starve,” said Mary.
- Researchers found that discarded face coverings and other personal protective equipment could account for some of the rise in microplastics entering the environment. “This is terrible for the ecology of this river,” said Mary.
