Former Top FDA Vaccine Officials Says Children Died From COVID-19 Vaccine
The Food and Drug Administration’s former top vaccine official said in a new interview that children died from COVID-19 vaccination, after FDA staffers in an assessment the official ordered deemed multiple deaths as probably or possibly caused by COVID-19 vaccines.
“So when we talk about attribution of what’s the cause of death, there is certain, there’s likely, there’s probable, there’s possible, there’s uncertain,” Dr. Vinay Prasad, the former head of the FDA’s Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research, said in the interview with Reason. “The standard for certain is unattainable.”
For certain vaccines, one can find a portion of the vaccine or a strain contained in the vaccine in a dead person. But for myocarditis, a form of heart inflammation that COVID-19 vaccines can cause, that’s not the case, Prasad said.
“Is it the case that kids died of myocarditis from the COVID-19 vaccine? Yes, absolutely, it is the case,” he said. And just because the death isn’t coded as certain and is coded as probable or possible, that doesn’t negate the fact that it is attributable. In fact, the standard across all of drug development is possible and probable are attributable.”
Amish Threaten Mass Exodus From New York Over Vaccine Fight — Which Is Heading to the Supreme Court
New York’s Amish community is issuing an ultimatum to state bureaucrats: leave us alone or we’re packing up our buggies for greener pastures. The threat has been sparked by a vaccine mandate fight that the 25,000 strong religious community is taking all the way to the Supreme Court. It takes place as state Health Department officials continue to slap thousands in fines on tiny, one-room parochial Amish schools which have refused to comply with a Cuomo-era vaccine decree.
“Have we gotten to a place where we aren’t going to make room for the Amish anymore?” Hiram Sasser, an attorney representing six plaintiffs in the case, Miller v. McDonald, asked. “When you think of Americana — apple pie, fireworks — the Amish are on that list. They’re part of the American fabric. They’re a good litmus test of our religious liberty and our tolerance,” Sasser claimed to The Post.
In 2019, following a measles outbreak in an Orthodox Jewish community, then-Gov. Andrew Cuomo rescinded religious exemptions for school vaccine mandates — making it the second state to ever do so, behind California. Post-COVID, two other states, Maine and Connecticut, removed religious exemptions while West Virginia never had them. New York state law requires kids to receive between 24 and 27 jabs to attend K through 12 schools, according to the DOH vaccine schedule.
Florida Takes Step to Stop Requiring 4 Vaccines for Public School Attendance
Florida officials have formally proposed removing four vaccines from the list of vaccines required for school attendance. The Florida Department of Health, in a proposed rule published on Aug. 24, said it would remove vaccines against varicella, hepatitis B, Haemophilus influenzae type B, and pneumococcal disease from the list of vaccines school students must receive.
The removal of those vaccines is because they are not mandated for inclusion in the list of required vaccines by state law, the department said in a summary of the rule.
Could There Soon Be a Vaccine for the Common Cold?
An early clinical trial of a new vaccine candidate, APL-10456, has shown encouraging signs of protecting against the common cold. Developed by Imperial College London and Apollo Therapeutics, the jab induced immune responses against all three major species of rhinovirus in 144 healthy volunteers.
Vaccinating against rhinoviruses has long been considered difficult due to the existence of around 180 circulating strains worldwide. Scientists hope the vaccine will help protect vulnerable patients with asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), for whom colds can trigger severe flare-ups.
The study is now moving into its second phase, with further results expected at the end of the year and a COPD-specific trial planned for 2027.
What’s in Merck and Moderna’s Cancer Vaccine Algorithm?
Moderna and Merck’s personalized cancer vaccine could become the first approved medicine whose genetic instructions are essentially written by an algorithm. For each patient, software analyzes thousands of tumor mutations and chooses 34 neoantigens to encode into a bespoke mRNA vaccine — a regulatory and computational experiment that some researchers now believe could be the treatment’s “secret sauce.”
That said, some skeptical Wall Street investors think that perhaps the personalization isn’t necessary at all, and that mRNA itself primes tumors to respond better to Keytruda. So what’s in that algorithm?
“I have no idea,” said Alex Rubinsteyn, a cancer vaccine expert at the University of North Carolina. “Everyone claims what they have is proprietary intelligence.”
7 Federal Agencies & Big Pharma Quietly Built a Pandemic-Industrial Complex
Nearly 14 years before COVID-19, HHS created the Public Health Emergency Medical Countermeasures Enterprise (PHEMCE) and centralized federal health, biomedical, regulatory, homeland-security, and military functions around a government-directed countermeasure pipeline. Creating what this website refers to as the Pandemic-Industrial Complex (PIC).
PHEMCE centralized seven named federal agencies and components (ASPR, CDC, FDA, NIH, DOD, DHS, and VA) across four Cabinet departments: HHS, DOD, DHS, and VA. Private industry was explicitly inserted into that structure. HHS named pharmaceutical manufacturers, biotechnology companies, clinical research organizations, and private research organizations.
Then it proposed increasing industry access to HHS agencies, streamlining regulation, lowering obstacles to private investment, and applying liability protections. The government’s own documents show the same apparatus stretching from threat detection and intelligence assessments through research, product development, regulation, procurement, stockpiling, deployment, and use. The national-security conflict is obvious.
