Action Alert: #ParentsAreWatching! Demand That the FDA Deny Pfizer’s EUA Application for Children Under 5

Children’s Health Defense needs all hands on deck to remind the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee (VRBPAC) that Parents are Watching and demanding the governing agencies do their job to protect the children by denying Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) to Pfizer’s COVID vaccine for babies ages 6 months and up to 5 years old. The February FDA vote was postponed and a new meeting is scheduled for April 6.

We need to voice our concerns to the FDA about the risks and harms our children face if exposed to this risky vaccine. A vote to grant the EUA could prove a devastating move for the health of nearly 20 million children in our country. We also need to communicate these concerns with our elected officials who must hold these government organizations accountable for their decisions.

Parents Are Watching: We demand you protect the children

Given the lack of data showing safety or efficacy of the two doses Pfizer applied with to obtain EUA, the company withdrew its application and the FDA postponed the meeting. With a meeting on the schedule for April 6 it is time to remind the FDA that Parents Are Watching.

U.S. public health officials and federal and state lawmakers need to hear from the millions of us who oppose giving unnecessary vaccines to infants and young children who have virtually zero risk of complications or death from COVID. Subjecting healthy children and babies to this vaccine poses a much greater risk through potential severe adverse reactions and even death.

We’re asking you to do two things to make sure your voices are heard at this critical moment:

  • Fill out a simple form to send emails to every decision maker on the FDA VRBPAC committee and your federal elected representatives. Make follow up phone calls to each person asking if they’ve received your email. Use this as an opportunity to also express your opposition to any mandates for school.
  • Join our Red Letter Campaign! Mail hand-written notes in red envelopes from you and your child to every public official listed below. Your child’s message can be very simple: “Don’t break our hearts, protect our health.” Also include your own message explaining why you oppose granting EUA status to these risky vaccines. If you don’t have time to write your own, use the message text below. Print our fully-referenced flyer (color or black-and-white, one side or both) and include it in the envelope. It presents science showing that COVID vaccines are ineffective, unsafe and unnecessary for our children. Red envelopes are available at many retailers including Staples, Office Depot, Walmart and Amazon. Don’t have time to get red envelopes? Use regular envelopes and draw red hearts on them.
