Rick North
Rick North has spent his career in nonprofit public health leadership, including 21 years with the American Cancer Society, where he served as CEO of the Oregon chapter, and seven years as Safe Food Director for the Oregon chapter of Physicians for Social Responsibility. After retiring, he relocated to Massachusetts to be closer to his grandchildren. A former supporter of water fluoridation, Rick changed his position after reviewing the scientific literature on fluoride's potential health effects. For the past 14 years, he has volunteered full-time with a network of scientists, physicians, dentists and advocates working to end water fluoridation. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Fluoride Action Network, a leading organization focused on fluoride education, research and advocacy.
