Gabriel Filippelli

Gabriel Filippelli is chancellor's professor of earth sciences and executive director, Indiana University Environmental Resilience Institute. His research focuses on biogeochemical cycling in the environment. Filippelli has worked extensively on the chemistry and geologic history of nutrients and climate in the ocean and on land. His recent work includes examining the links between climate change and human health and determining and mitigating the impacts of environmental contaminants such as lead on human health by engaging communities to address environmental injustice.
