Join us for this month’s CHD UpClose as we take a closer look at the Massive Epidemic of Vaccine Injury and its role in the growing national conversation about vaccine safety, public health, and medical accountability. This online event will provide an opportunity to learn more about MEVI’s mission, explore the concerns being raised by families and health advocates, and discuss the importance of transparency, scientific research, and informed public dialogue.
For this UpClose, CHD CEO & President Mary Holland will be joined by Mark Gorton, President of the MAHA Institute and Brian Hooker, CHD’s Chief Scientific Officer who has been active in vaccine safety since 2001.
This UpClose will provide a thought-provoking and engaging discussion about these complex issues and how to advance meaningful conversations about the health and well-being of our children and future generations.

Meet the Speakers
Mark Gorton
Mark Gorton is an American entrepreneur, investor, and technology pioneer best known as the founder of LimeWire, one of the earliest and most widely used peer-to-peer file-sharing platforms.
Trained as an engineer, Gorton earned his undergraduate degree from Yale University and later received a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University. He began his career in finance, working in quantitative trading and founding Tower Research Capital, a highly successful algorithmic trading firm.
Beyond his work in technology and finance, Gorton has been an active advocate for urban transportation reform and public policy initiatives. He founded the Open Planning Project, a nonprofit organization focused on improving transportation systems and promoting open data to make cities more efficient and livable.
Mark Gorton serves as a co-founder and president of the MAHA Institute which was launched in 2025 to fix America’s broken health system and to Make America Healthy Again. MAHA values and will fight for your freedom of choice, your freedom to stay informed, and your freedom to pursue health and happiness.
Brian Hooker, Ph.D.
Brian Hooker, Ph.D. is Chief Scientific Officer at Children’s Health Defense and professor emeritus and former Frances P. Owen Distinguished Professor of Biology at Simpson University in Redding, California, where he specialized in microbiology and biotechnology.
Dr. Hooker has been active in vaccine safety since 2001 and has a 27-year-old son with autism. In 2013 and 2014, Dr. Hooker worked with the CDC whistleblower, Dr. William Thompson, to expose fraud and corruption within vaccine safety research in the CDC, which led to the release of over 10,000 pages of documents. He is co-author of the New York Times Bestseller “Vax-Unvax: Let the Science Speak” with Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Mary Holland, Esq.
Mary Holland, Esq. is CEO of Children’s Health Defense, and has been involved in the health freedom movement for over two decades. She previously served as CHD’s general counsel, overseeing its litigation regarding mandates, exemptions, informed consent, free speech and government regulation.
She is the co-author or editor of several books on vaccines, including “Turtles All the Way Down: Vaccine Science and Myth” and “The HPV Vaccine on Trial: Seeking Justice for a Generation Betrayed.” Before joining CHD, she taught for many years at NYU School of Law and Columbia Law School.
