Workers Compensation: Resources
The public is under the misconception that compensation for harms caused by COVID-19 vaccines are non-compensable under any circumstances as either precluded under the Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness (PREP) Act or are hamstrung under the Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program (CICP) such that they do not pursue them.
However, for workers injured by employer-mandated vaccinations, Workers’ Compensation provides a viable path and should be explored. CHD’s public outreach and awareness program educates injured workers on rights and benefits that may be available under state workers’ compensation programs, as well as programs available to federal employees, Department of Energy employees and other energy workers, longshore and harbor workers, and coal miners.
