WHO Says Henipaviruses Are Next Big Threat to Global Population + More: ‘This Week’ With Mary + Polly

In “This Week” with Mary Holland, Children’s Health Defense president on leave, and Polly Tommey, CHD.TV programming manager, Mary and Polly discuss the latest news on COVID-19 vaccines and other issues.

This week, Mary Holland, Children’s Health Defense (CHD) president on leave, and Polly Tommey, CHD.TV programming manager, covered the latest headlines on COVID-19, Big Pharma and other issues, including what Polly called an “extraordinary story” on a “bombshell” study of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine distribution showing vaccine batches could be divided into three groups — one of these groups demonstrated higher-than-normal severe adverse events and a third group appeared to be a placebo.

Polly and Mary also discussed the release of confidential BioNTech documents, which revealed tens of thousands of serious adverse events and thousands of deaths. The documents, dated Aug. 18, 2022, include data from the COVID-19 vaccine clinical trials and post-marketing period from Dec. 19, 2021, to June 18, 2022. Pfizer insisted during this time that they saw no safety signals.

Plus, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) unanimously voted in favor of recommending a 20-valent Pfizer pneumococcal vaccine for children. CDC advisers also approved new respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) immunizations for adults.

Also on tap this week: Some scientists, attempting to identify the source of the next pandemic, point to henipaviruses, such as Langya, as a future threat to the global population. The World Health Organization (WHO) lists the henipavirus family of pathogens on its prioritization list for vaccines and therapeutics in public health emergency contexts.

More of this week’s highlights:

  • Óscar Cabrera Adames, a 28-year-old pro basketball player, died of a heart attack during a stress test at a health center in the Dominican Republic less than two years after blaming vaccine-induced myocarditis for a collapse on the court.
  • Sharing traumatic stories from the pandemic exposes the abuses that took place at the hands of decision-makers. Mary encouraged listeners to “tell their story.”
  • As the COVID-19 pandemic wanes, the COVAX initiative — a partnership between Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, the WHO and the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations — for delivering vaccines to the world’s poorest is left with $2.6 billion to spend.
  • In a town hall meeting, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., CHD’s president on leave, explained his stance on vaccination, shared statistics on chronic disease and discussed the reality of placebo use in clinical trials — unless proper, long-term, prelicensure placebo-controlled safety studies are done we cannot determine if more harm than good is being done, Kennedy said.
  • A U.S. Court of Appeals heard arguments in an appeal challenging the constitutionality of vaccine mandates for students at Rutgers University. For the audience, Mary explained the details of this case, including the claims brought by CHD against Rutgers.
  • In a letter to New York City Department of Education Chancellor David Banks, lawmakers asked for clarification of secret “problem codes” assigned to unvaccinated teachers in New York City. This included the purpose and use of the codes, how they were determined, their consequences, whether this information was sent to law enforcement agencies and how the city plans to rectify the situation.
  • In Vietnam, the first African swine fever vaccine awaits nationwide authorization. After dozen of pigs died from off-label use of this vaccine, it was temporarily suspended.
  • Vaccines for cancer are currently undergoing experimentation. These injections, some of which use mRNA technology, seek to shrink tumors and prohibit recurrent cancer. Mary voiced her concerns about redefining what makes something a “vaccine” and spotlighted the administration of the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine as it relates to cervical cancer.
  • The U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved two new diabetes drugs for kids. Pediatrician Dr. Elizabeth Mumper offered her perspective on the profit motives behind these new interventions taking the place of chronic disease prevention efforts.
  • In a lawsuit against Johnson & Johnson, a California man attributed his cancer diagnosis to the use of the company’s baby powder. “It’s just horrible — to make a few dollars on a powder … to let people die,” said Mary.
  • After decades of delays and legal challenges, lawsuits are finally proceeding against Merck’s allergy and asthma medication Singulair. The lawsuits alleged the drug is defective and claimed the company failed to warn patients of the risk of mental problems. Death by suicide or neurological suffering in dozens of patients was reported.
  • The mother of Jamie Kay Wylie believes her 36-year-old daughter died as a result of COVID-19 protocols, which included the use of remdesivir and a ventilator. “There [are] so many stories like this,” Polly pointed out.
  • James Corbett, in an interview with Dr. Joseph Mercola, discussed artificial intelligence and its increasing role in state propaganda and shared strategies on how to prepare for government-endorsed weaponized narratives. Hear more from Corbett on “Good Morning CHD.”
