This week, Mary Holland, Children’s Health Defense (CHD) president, and Polly Tommey, CHD.TV programming manager, covered the latest headlines on COVID-19, Big Pharma and other issues, including news that a recent study by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) found people ages 12 and older who got an updated COVID-19 vaccine were less likely to get infected or die from the virus compared with those who did not get an updated vaccine.

The CDC shared the observational study on Twitter, provoking backlash from the public.

Polly and Mary also discussed that years later, some colleges still have COVID-19 vaccine mandates in place. Why?

Plus, in an interview with The Defender, Dedra Long described how she went from a surgical technologist and busy mother of three to an invalid after her employer pressured her to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

Also on tap this week: The California Supreme Court rejected a challenge last week to a ruling that said the state’s school districts could not require their students to be vaccinated against COVID-19 because only the state government can issue such a mandate.

More of this week’s highlights:

  • From the beginning, there have been glaring signs that the COVID-19 mRNA shots may impair fertility. Preliminary data suggest our worst fears have not materialized. The reason for this is not yet clear.
  • Studies show mask mandates did nothing to help the COVID-19 pandemic. Will any lessons be learned?
  • Two new studies on the effectiveness of mask mandates and city-level COVID-19 vaccine mandates concluded the policies failed to achieve their promised objectives. The study on vaccine mandates found the mandates caused economic harm.
  • U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Commissioner Dr. Robert Califf has made combating “misinformation” a top priority for the agency, arguing it is a “leading cause of death” — though he admitted he can’t back up that claim with facts. “The only way to get around this is by freedom of expression,” said Mary.
  • Google announced in February it plans to expand its campaign to “inoculate” people against misinformation, but critics called out the tech giant for promoting government and corporate interests.
  • Two people who received Pfizer’s respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccine during a clinical trial were later diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome. The FDA asked Pfizer to conduct a safety study if the shot is approved. “They are now talking about it being for pregnant mothers,” said Mary. “It’s bad news.”
  • Pfizer’s RSV vaccine could receive FDA approval by the end of this summer.
  • Scientists testing a dozen people for avian influenza in Cambodia said the father of an 11-year-old who died from the disease is infected. Health chiefs commissioned a new bird flu vaccine in response to the growth of the dominant form of the influenza virus worldwide. “We can see very clearly what’s happening here,” said Polly.
  • The nine-question survey that many doctors use to diagnose depression was created by Pfizer, an antidepressant manufacturer. “It’s very profitable for people to need a drug for everything,” said Mary.
  • Members of the U.S. armed forces injured by COVID-19 vaccines need your help! Take action now and demand the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs acknowledge service-connected COVID-19 vaccine injuries. “Mandates have been so harsh for the military,” said Mary.
  • Gabe Brown, a pioneer in regenerative land management built around restoring soil health, outlined the five basic principles for building a healthy soil ecosystem. “When we stop buying the junk food, they will stop making it,” said Mary.
  • 5G cell towers can make healthy people sick, two new case reports show.
  • Lawyers supported by CHD are representing four families in a suit in Massachusetts Superior Court seeking to reinstate the Pittsfield Board of Health’s cease and desist order against Verizon. As soon as its tower went operational, people began getting sick. “Keep your eyes peeled on CHD’s EMF [electromagnetic field] information team,” said Polly. “Great information and testimonies there.”
  • Authors of a new study say human beings wearing special copper-coiled bracelets could be used as part of an electromagnetic radiation antenna system to power 6G. Critics say the technology could be harmful to your health. “This is a huge warning,” said Polly. “We need to pay attention to this.”
  • A 2021 CDC survey conducted on 17,000 high school teenagers found nearly a third of teen girls said they had seriously considered suicide — up nearly 60% from a decade ago. “I wonder what the impact of the lockdowns were here,” said Mary.
  • Fluoride is a developmental neurotoxin that affects short-term and working memory and contributes to rising rates of attention-deficit hyperactive disorder and lower IQs in children, yet many U.S. water systems still add it to drinking water. “It’s a well-established neurotoxin yet it’s in the water supply of millions of Americans,” said Mary.
  • Vinyl chloride — the chemical in several of the train cars that derailed and burned in East Palestine, Ohio, this month — is used to make PVC plastic. It’s also linked to liver damage, including cancer. “I don’t think we know the full story here at all,” said Mary.
  • We must prevent the introduction of central bank digital currencies “because that is the epitome of a centralized, controlled, even totalitarian system,” economist Richard Werner, Ph.D., said on a recent episode of “The Kim Iversen Show.”
  • STOP OXFORD: No 15-Minute Cities.”
