Indiana Senate Bill 174 will directly improve the everyday life of Hoosiers by safeguarding jobs, supporting school access and most importantly, strengthening parental rights and ending government intrusion into the personal medical decisions of Indiana’s citizens.

A few of the main objectives of the bill are to:

  • Not require an individual to accept, undergo, or engage in a medical intervention in or on the individual’s body as a condition of employment, entrance, admission, compensation, benefits, or participation.
  • Allow an individual who suffers bodily injury as a result of a violation of these provisions to file an action.
  • Provide that punitive measures may not be taken against an individual because of refusal to accept, undergo, or engage in a medical intervention in or on the individual’s body.
  • Provide that a student enrolled in a health profession education program may not be required to receive an immunization.

No citizen in Indiana should be excluded, punished, or coerced for refusing a medical intervention. This bill will protect informed consent, prevent discrimination and keep medical decisions between doctors and their patients. Let’s make medical freedom strong in Indiana!

We need to make sure there is tremendous support for this bill. It is critical that it is voted on and advanced immediately. Please take action TODAY, by contacting your state senator and asking him or her to support and co-sponsor SB174. We need to let our elected officials know that medical freedom is important in Indiana!
