Propaganda & Its Societal Impacts
At CHD’s 2nd Annual Conference, Holocaust survivor and human rights advocate Vera Sharav spoke about how the media is used to propagandize and manipulate today’s culture just as it was by genocidal regimes of the past. She details the history of mass mind control, including the work of Edward Bernays, and the critical need to recognize that we have been in a state of mass hypnosis for nearly a century.

Vera Sharav is a long-time human rights advocate and the founder and president of the Alliance for Human Research Protection (AHRP). Her focus has been on violations of informed consent; her advocacy has often focused on the plight of children of color as involuntary subjects in medical experiments and experiments that exposed them to harm.
