Paul Héroux

Paul Héroux, Ph.D.

Associate Professor of Toxicology and Health Effects of Electromagnetism

A scientist with experience in physics, engineering and the health sciences. Following basic science and engineering, he became interested in public health and was appointed Associate Professor at McGill’s Faculty of Medicine. Currently, Director of the Occupational Health program within the Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Occupational Health, which makes up a part of McGill’s School of Population and Global Health. He teaches Principles of Toxicology, Health Effects of Electromagnetism and Hearing Conservation at the Faculty of Medicine.

He performed contract research for electrical utilities (Institut de Recherche d’Hydro-Québec, Canadian Electrical Association, U.S. Electric Power Research Institute) as well as for telecommunications companies (Nortel, Siemens).

A member of New Hampshire’s Commission to Study the Environmental and Health Effects of Evolving 5G Technology.

A Commissioner of the International Commission on the Biological Effects of Electromagnetic Fields.
