2025 Conference Livestream FAQ

How do I watch the livestream?

Our livestream will be presented each day as a Zoom Webinar. You will be sent a different personal link to watch for each of the two days. You can watch the presentations on a computer, tablet or smartphone.

If you plan to watch the livestream using a computer, just use the personalized link sent to you by email to access the presentations while they are streaming live. There is no need to be logged into a Zoom account.

If you would like to watch on a mobile device and do not already have the Zoom app installed, first download the Zoom app and log into or create your account. (The basic plan is free.) Once the app is installed, use the link in the email with your personal Zoom link to join the webinar. Please be sure the app is installed and your account is set up before the first day’s sessions begin.

Please note: Use only one device at a time when joining the livestream webinar.

Your link to watch the Saturday sessions will be emailed on Wednesday, Nov. 5, the day after livestream ticket sales end. The same link will be sent out the afternoon of Friday, Nov. 7, and again at 8 a.m. CST on Saturday, Nov. 8, one hour before sessions begin.

Your link to watch the Sunday sessions will be sent out the afternoon of Saturday, Nov. 8, and again at 8 a.m. CST on Sunday, Nov. 9, one hour before sessions begin.

If you do not see an email from “CHD Events” with your conference livestream details, please be sure to check your spam or junk folder.

Please do not share your personal Zoom links with others; they are connected to your registration information. Sharing your link may prevent you from connecting to the event, or result in your removal from the event.

Can I chat with other viewers during the livestream?

Yes, you will be able to chat onscreen with other virtual attendees using the chat feature built into Zoom, whether you’re watching on a computer or mobile device.

Can I ask questions during the livestream?

No, due to the nature of the event, it will not be possible for the speakers to take questions.

I am having problems with my sound. What do I do?

  • Make sure the volume on your computer, phone, or tablet is turned up, and is not muted.
  • Make sure the correct audio device is selected (speaker or headphones, generally) on your computer, phone, or tablet.
  • If you haven’t enabled the setting to automatically join by computer audio, you can test your speaker and microphone right before you enter the Zoom webinar:
    • When joining a meeting, click Test Speaker and Microphone. The meeting will display a pop-up window to test your speakers.
    • If you don’t hear the ringtone, use the drop-down menu or click No, Try Another Speaker to switch speakers until you hear the ringtone. Click Yes to continue to the microphone test. (While in the webinar, you can also use the arrow icon next to Mute/Unmute in the meeting controls toolbar to choose a different speaker.)
    • If you don’t hear an audio replay, use the drop-down menu or click No, Try Another Microphone to switch microphones until you hear the reply. Click Yes when you hear the replay.
    • Click Join with Computer Audio to exit the speaker and microphone test.
    • Note: You will not be able to speak to others via Zoom during the livestream.
  • On a mobile device, ensure your speaker is turned on. If you see the speaker icon in the top-left corner is turned off, tap it to turn on your speaker, then adjust the volume.
  • In to the Zoom desktop client:
    • Click your profile picture, then click Settings.
    • Click the Audio tab.
    • Under Speaker, you can do the following:
      • Test your speaker.
      • Select the speaker you want to use in the drop-down menu.
      • Use the Output Volume slider to increase or decrease the output volume.

What if I am unable to watch a portion of the livestream? Will a recording be available?

All in-person and virtual livestream attendees will have access to the full conference recordings and will be notified via email once they are available.

The Saturday dinner is in-person only and will not be recorded.
