Vincent Feldman
Vincent Feldman is an artist, photographer, author and educator. His work is rooted in architecture and the architectural landscape and embraces aspects of the built environment that generate meaningful reflection on who we were, are now and hope to be as a society. His 2014 book "City Abandoned: Charting the Loss of Civic Institutions in Philadelphia" is a meditation and eulogy on the common good once expressed in the facades of government buildings, schools, hospitals, post offices and cultural institutions. This portfolio of photographs catalogs the broad and deep destruction policies of segregation and economic Red Lining left in their wake in Philadelphia during the 20th Century. He has been a volunteer for the CHD Pennsylvania Chapter since its inception in 2021.
