In NYC Mayor DeBlasio announced this program “The Key to NYC” which puts the onus on restaurant owners to enforce vaccine screening checks in order for customers to enter and dine in their establishments. Many restaurant owners who struggled with the lockdown and restrictions during the last 19 months are not happy about being put in that position and being forced to police their own customers. With large numbers, sometimes upwards of 50% unvaccinated in their communities, these type of mandates will be disastrous for local businesses to withstand.
