France’s High Council on Climate recommended government officials impose carbon footprint limits on 5G phone operators and educate the public about the ecological toll of digital technology.
After the FCC last month found no evidence of harm caused by wireless technology, CHD and other groups sued — and included 11,000 pages of evidence refuting the FCC’s conclusion.
A recent study found that a 5G phone held 3 inches or closer to the body can expose the user to radio frequency limits that exceed those recommended by the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection.
Last month’s report on the illnesses of 50 American diplomats in Cuba and China stopped short of blaming microwave weapons. But some experts say the technology is the only plausible cause, and that the investigation could hold lessons about the safety of 5G.
Here’s the latest news, policy, events and campaigns related to Children’s Health Defense’s 5G and Wireless Harms program.
The New Hampshire Commission to Study the Environmental and Health Effects of Evolving 5G Technology heard from 13 experts in epidemiology, occupational health, toxicology, physics and engineering, plus one wireless industry expert. All except the industry rep agreed RF radiation coming from wireless devices affects humans, animals, insects and plants.
Officials say the health risks of 5G haven’t been properly evaluated. They also cite concerns about the increase in electromagnetic pollution and the dehumanization of society.
FCC’s new fund includes money for precision agriculture that opponents say is more about commodification and control of information than better farming.

Employees at Orange, France’s biggest phone company and the tenth largest mobile network operator in the world, are calling for management to stop the rollout of 5G just days before the industry plans to commit billions to their deployment in the country.
This year, the big surprise during Apple’s annual mid-September launch event wasn’t what new products they were offering, but what the new products didn’t offer — none of the new Apple devices include 5G compatibility.
Neville Ray, president of technology at T-Mobile, admits that so far, 5G is “meaningless.”“We celebrated some 5G launches — T-Mobile didn’t, others did — but they’ve proven to be pretty meaningless,” Ray said. “If we’re honest with ourselves, 5G really hasn’t had any real impact in the U.S. materially to date.” His claim that T-Mobile didn’t celebrate 5G launches, however, is contrary to his company’s massive advertising campaign showing 5G radiation coming from cell towers, painted in splendid pink.
In an important win for those who are concerned about 5G and small cell wireless proliferation, on August 26, 2020 the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts dismissed a lawsuit by “neutral host” provider ExteNet Systems, Inc. against the City of Cambridge, MA.
President Trump’s campaign is reviving its proposal to nationalize 5G, despite the fact that the deployment of 800,000 5G “small cell” antennas near homes and interconnecting 50 billion more radiation-emitting devices, as this current plan dictates, is going to result in a health crisis.

Children’s Health Defense Principal Brief in Landmark Case Against FCC on 5G and Wireless Harms: Submitted!
What we put in our bodies and our children’s developing bodies is the most important and most personal choice we make as human beings. But when it comes to damaging levels of radiation, that right to choose has been stolen from us. The Children’s Health Defense (CHD) mission to protect children from toxic exposure reached […]
A resolution to cease the buildout of 5G wireless infrastructure until it can be proven safe, through independent research and testing, passed the Hawaii County Council on July 22, 2020, almost unanimously. The vote was 8-1.
Take Action and request that your city pass a “cease and desist” resolution calling on wireless companies to stop their build out of 4G/5G small cell wireless antennas until such facilities are proven safe through independent research!
This debate between “5G harms” experts and industry representatives was an invaluable opportunity to present to those working in the industry the science-based evidence that the harm caused by 5G is indeed real and cannot be dismissed as mere conspiracy theory. Our hope is that the issues and evidence raised in the debate will cause them to re-think their products and technology.

Children’s Health Defense (CHD) submitted a legal notice to the FCC against the OTARD rule expansion, signed by over 15,000 people. At 735 pages, it is likely one of the largest submissions to the FCC in number of signatories. Dafna Tachover, Director of CHD’s Stop 5G and Wireless Harms Project, participated in the webinar, explaining our lawsuit against the FCC. The transcript below serves as a helpful action tool for advocates to better understand what is legally possible in their own communities and on a national level.
When 11-year-old David’s mother was officially diagnosed with microwave sickness, he and the family did everything they could to eliminate the causes, but it wasn’t enough and her symptoms are increasing again.
