As a pediatrician, I am expected to follow the CDC/AAP revisions to the schedule without questioning. However, when there is compelling data showing that children were more likely to be diagnosed with chronic illness if they received a higher number versus fewer immunizations, I would argue my allegiance is to my patients and their parents.
