Dr Arazi’s Phonegate ebook available in English for free
Following the revelations about Apple’s iPhone 12 exceeding SAR, our NGO asked Dr Marc Arazi, the author of the book Phonegate and his publisher Massot éditions to allow the ebook to be downloaded in its English version.
They have authorized us to make it downloadable for one month, i.e. until October 18, 2023. This should enable a better understanding of this global scandal, the extent of which we are only just beginning to grasp.
Radiofrequency Radiation From Wireless Communications Sources: Are the Safety Limits Safe?
Medical doctors are regularly safety-trained on ionising radiation use, but have not be trained regarding similarly on non-ionising radiation. It is now known that all areas of the electromagnetic spectrum can affect biology. The focus of this lecture is primarily on the radio frequencies (RF) that can also be pulse-modulated at extremely low frequency (ELF).
Environmental toxicants can cause biological damage that can lead to acute and then chronic health effects. The public expect that safety limits protect biology, but this is not the case with exposure to radiofrequency radiation.
The voice of the medical doctor is missing. Doctors have never been trained about the health effects of non-ionizing radiation, nor have they been invited to participate in the debate, even though they play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illness.
Schwannoma Puzzle – Did Cell Phone in Trouser Pocket Lead to a Tumor in the Thigh?
Three medical doctors have published a case report of a 40-year-old Italian man who developed a tumor in his thigh, near where he “habitually” kept his smartphone in a trouser pocket.
The case was published at the end of August in Radiology Case Reports, a peer-reviewed, open access journal.
The tumor, a painless mass, gradually expanded in the man’s left thigh over a period of six months, they wrote. It grew in his Schwann cells and is known as a schwannoma. It was benign.
French watchdog halts iPhone 12 sales over too-high radiation, minister says
PARIS, Sept 12 (Reuters) – Apple must stop selling its iPhone 12 model in France due to above-threshold radiation levels, France’s junior minister for the digital economy told newspaper Le Parisien in an interview published on Tuesday.
France’s radiation watchdog ANFR notified Apple of its decision to ban iPhone 12 sales after it had carried out tests which showed the smartphone’s Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) was slightly higher than legally allowed, Jean-Noel Barrot told the paper.
The European Commission confirms Phonegate Alert’s call to withdraw dangerous cell phones
In a reply dated September 1, 2023 to a question from Polish MEP Beata Mazurek, the European Commissioner for the Internal Market, Thierry Breton, confirmed the European Commission’s position that it is the exclusive responsibility of member states and their surveillance authorities to declare non-compliant cell phones and remove them from the EU market.
This response from European Commissioner Thierry Breton confirms the action taken by our NGO Phonegate Alert and our partner Europeans for Safe Connexions (ESC).
Irish parents take action on smartphones amid soaring concerns over children’s mental health
Parents in a town just 45 minutes outside of Dublin have banded together to enforce a smartphone ban for children until they finish elementary school.
“It was just the striking results of the rising anxiety, depression and everything we noticed … of having a mobile phone, especially among young kids,” Justyna Flynn, a clinical psychologist and resident of Greystones with three children in school, told “Fox & Friends” on Tuesday. “The support this town got was incredible.”
Phonegate Alert Ready to Take Legal Action against ANFR’s Failings
The non-compliance of mobile telephony equipment, such as the 42 phone models exceeding the set SAR threshold, triggers the application of Article 40 of the RED Directive, and in particular the obligation for the French market surveillance authority, ANFR, to comply with the following obligation:
“Where the market surveillance authorities consider that non-compliance is not restricted to their national territory, they shall inform the Commission and the other Member States of the results of the evaluation and of the actions which they have required the economic operator to take.”
For the moment, ANFR is maintaining total opacity on this subject, refusing to respond to our NGO and our partner Europeans for Safe Connections.
The European Union assessments of radiofrequency radiation health risks – another hard nut to crack (Review) by Nyberg, McCredden and Hardell
The paper describes how the European Union is violating several of its own foundational laws and principles to roll out 5G wireless technology.
The health and well-being of children are not being protected. The new 2020 International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) and the Scientific Committee on Health, Environmental and Emerging Risks (SCHEER, previously SCENHIR) guidelines do not consider babies or children as different from adults and, therefore, offer no special precautions to protect them.
Wired Broadband, Inc. Town Hall on Federal Bills
On August 16, 2023, Wired Broadband, Inc. (WBI) and BBILAN co-sponsored a Town Hall focusing on the over 80 federal bills working their way through the U.S. Congress. These bills are the wireless telecom’s wish list of everything they want to accelerate the proliferation of cell towers pretty much anywhere they want, with no opportunity to even know they’re coming, let alone do anything about trying to stop them.
HR 3557 and its associated complementary bills represent a tyrannical attempt by the telecom-wireless industry to shift forever the reasonable and historic balance between the federal government, states, and local communities. Many of these bills offend the Constitution; some significantly abridge hard fought civil liberties; others intentionally and cynically promote and disseminate false claims, or are predicated on them.
Artificial vs. Natural EMFs: Why Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Cellphones Are Damaging to Cells
As mysterious cases of microwave syndrome continue to surface, growing doubts are emerging over the harm caused by the radiation emitted by fourth generation (4G), and fifth generation (5G) wireless networks, and other electromagnetic fields (EMFs). However, many people do not know that EMF is an essential element our bodies need, like water and air.
What Exactly Is Electromagnetic Radiation?
Electromagnetic radiation, also known as electromagnetic fields or EMFs, is one of the four fundamental forces of nature, along with gravity, strong nuclear, and weak nuclear forces. It is an invisible “force” that exists everywhere, created by electric charges and magnetic waves.
Remembering Nearfield Awarded “Best Health Film” at Cannes World Film Festival, July 2023
It’s a winner. In just over three months, Remembering Nearfield, has become an internationally acclaimed animated short film. Its aim is to break down taboos around the subject of electromagnetic harm in our society and catalyze global conversations about electromagnetic hypersensitivity (EHS), a disability which brings an uncertain future for those highly sensitized and intolerant of the radiation from man-made electromagnetic fields.
The health impacts of EMF radiation exposure on society have remained subject to relentless scientific scrutiny. EHS is constantly being flagged up by scientists in their appeals to address a host of shortcomings in existing globally-adopted EMF radiation exposure guidelines to raise questions about public safety and draw attention to the most vulnerable, like children and those with EHS (who are not considered in the one-size-fits-all attitude of these industry-friendly guidelines).
‘Put learners first’: Unesco calls for global ban on smartphones in schools
Smartphones should be banned from schools to tackle classroom disruption, improve learning and help protect children from cyberbullying, a UN report has recommended.
Unesco, the UN’s education, science and culture agency, said there was evidence that excessive mobile phone use was linked to reduced educational performance and that high levels of screen time had a negative effect on children’s emotional stability.
It said its call for a smartphone ban sent a clear message that digital technology as a whole, including artificial intelligence, should always be subservient to a “human-centred vision” of education, and never supplant face-to-face interaction with teachers.
EMF/RF/5G: Get Off the Gigantic/Titanic Wireless Party Boat
The FDA and the FCC and political partners from both parties, along with the military, have been having quite a party while counting their riches and thinking of ways not to recognize the harm that new technologies are causing.
Many wireless consumers are too young to remember scientists and industry executives working for the tobacco companies, lying to congress.
In this example, companies were denying, under oath, that cigarettes are addictive.
The Unsettling Rise of Microwave Syndrome
Courtney Gilardi’s 10-year-old daughter never had problems sleeping. But in August 2020, the morning after a 5G cell tower was switched on within 450 feet of their Pittsfield, Massachusetts, home, she woke up complaining of headaches, dizziness, a buzzing in her head, and general malaise.
Normally, she gets up at 8 a.m. But on that day, she didn’t come downstairs till the afternoon.
“She didn’t look well, and she said that she was headachy, dizzy, buzzy. Those are not words that she has ever used to describe how she’s been feeling before,” Ms. Gilardi said.
The girl, her sister, and Ms. Gilardi herself, who said she started experiencing sleep disturbances, rapid heart rates, and migraines, were soon diagnosed with microwave syndrome, a condition known to develop after a person is exposed to electromagnetic fields (EMFs) emitted by wireless technologies.
According to a long-term study, the risk of developing high blood pressure increases if you use your cell phone for more than 30 minutes a week
With the advent of cell phones came concerns about the harmful health effects of their radiation. Rumors that the cellphone had “boiled brains” turned out to be exaggerated, but no one has put an end to the issue of cellphone security. New multi-year study showed that the danger of using a mobile phone is not what they were looking for before. The main target of radio emissions from the phone was the heart.
An international team of scientists led by professors from Southern Medical University (Guangzhou, China) studied the habits and health of 212,046 adults aged 37 to 73 years based on project data over a 12-year period. British Biobank. All study participants of both genders were free of hypertension prior to data collection. In other words, they all had a healthy cardiovascular system. And then the phone rang…
EHS Film “Remembering Nearfield” is Finalist: Cannes World Film Festival
Remembering Nearfield is a moving and educational testimony of electrohypersensitivity (EHS). EHS can affect a person’s freedom, rights, and mobility to a crippling degree. It is a disability induced by exposures to man-made electromagnetic fields (EMFs). Dirty electricity/ELF electricity in the home and pulse modulated wireless technologies create EMF radiation, often very close to us (near-field EMF radiation) which is absorbed into our bodies and can trigger symptoms in sensitive individuals. EHS is inflamed by these environmental exposures and is a debilitating condition that is barely acknowledged by society. The film’s testimony highlights the problems of living with EHS when our living environment is saturated in a boundless man-made EMF fog that increases year upon year.
“We need to transcend unhelpful taboos relating to EMF harm and disability to see electrohypersensitivity (EHS) for what it is – a real problem affecting real people in the real world.” – Sean A. Carney, Film Producer.
RFK Jr’s cautionary position on Cell Phone radiation is supported by “the science”
Last month RFK Jr appeared on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast for another long form discussion. Rogan announced up front that he intended to allow Kennedy to speak without interrupting him. A lesson he learned after watching an embarrassing exchange between Kennedy and Krystal Ball, co-host of “Breaking Points”, in May.
In that interview, Ball stated that although she believed that Kennedy was a genuine person, she disagreed with his views on vaccines. But rather than allowing Kennedy to explain his position and cite the evidence that supported it, Ball stepped out of her role as an objective journalist and played the part of a defense attorney for the medical establishment, repeatedly raising objections every few seconds.
Wyandotte school board member resigns following 5G antenna controversy
The controversy in Wyandotte continues. Now, there’s more fallout after a school board member recently resigned over the issue.
Korean NTP Lite: Progress Report Briefing at WHO RF Meeting in Geneva
A Korean RF genotoxicology study —part of a joint project with Japan— has been delayed due to the unexpected death of four RF–exposed rats early in the accompanying two-year cancer experiment, according to Young Hwan Ahn of Korea’s Ajou University medical school.
Ahn presented a progress report on the Korean arm of the project in Geneva last week at a by-invitation-only meeting of the WHO EMF Project’s International Advisory Committee.
Microwave News has obtained a copy of Ahn’s PowerPoint presentation.
Your Cell Phone and Other EMF Devices May Be Harming Your Heart
Electrical equipment and high-tech devices are everywhere, and while they may make life easier, research finds they can cause harm to your heart by emitting electromagnetic frequency (EMF) in the radio frequency range.
Many people don’t realize their cardiac symptoms could be the result of EMF. Still, research continues to find a correlation between the debilitating illnesses some people are suffering from and the mass amount of electromagnetic “smog” clogging the atmosphere today.
New ruling empowers Pittsfield Board of Health to take up cell tower issue
PITTSFIELD, Mass. – A Berkshire County Superior Court judge has essentially granted the Pittsfield Board of Health the ability work with Verizon to come up with a solution over concerns about health issues neighbors say a cell tower in Pittsfield is causing.
Courtney Gilardi said she and other plaintiffs had been told they had no case.
“I think what the issue has been is that we’ve been hearing because Verizon has a permit for the tower, there’s nothing we can do based on zoning laws,” Gilardi said. “The judge has ruled, and I think we can go forward with knowing that the board has the power at the state level to take this up in that health and safety is for every single person in the city of Pittsfield, it’s not just for some. We’re not collateral damage.”
Experts Gather to Warn of Health Dangers of 5G Radiation
I am heartened to see that the negative effects of technology, such as smartphones and remote learning are now being discussed more publicly. Last Friday on GB News, Bev Turner talked about an ALDI store, to which entry can only be gained via smartphone. Various national newspapers are mentioning the psychological damage done to children through overuse of screens and social media. Addiction is a major problem.
However only a handful of people and organisations seem to be aware of the likely damage to physical and mental health from the radio-frequency radiation (RFR) emitted by smartphones, wi-fi and phone masts. Those who do mention this are quickly labelled as conspiracy theorists, perhaps following the lead of the Counter-Disinformation Unit, which, I suspect, is the “subcommittee” referred to in the official Report for the Broadband and Road to 5G inquiry conducted by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport. I have explained this more fully in a previous TCW article, but the implication was that anyone who submitted evidence about possible health harms from RFR was tarred with the same brush as those who thought 5G caused Covid.
How Money and Power Dominate RF Research
Unremarkable science can sometimes tell a remarkable story. Two papers that were published in the last few weeks —and passed mostly unnoticed— have important, though very different, backstories.
One offers a surprising glimpse of change in the usually static field of RF research, while the other shows how much has stayed the same over the last many years. Yet, in the end, they offer the same well-worn message, always worth repeating: Those who sign the checks, run the show.
The two papers come 30 years after Henry Lai and N.P. Singh began an experiment at the University of Washington in Seattle that would set off alarm bells across the still-young cell phone industry —and the U.S. military. Lai and Singh would show that a single, two-hour exposure to low-level microwave radiation (today, we’d say RF) could lead to breaks in the helical strands of DNA in the brains of live rats.
ICNIRP Still Runs RF at WHO
ICNIRP continues to dominate EMF policies at the WHO, according to documents made available to Microwave News. The International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection is a private, self-perpetuating, secretive group whose exposure limits are used around the world.
The documents were recently distributed by Emilie van Deventer, who leads the WHO’s radiation program, as she prepared to host a briefing this week in Geneva for the EMF International Advisory Committee (IAC).
Judge issues restraining order to delay activation of cell tower in Wyandotte
A Wayne County Circuit Court judge has granted a motion for a temporary restraining order that will delay activation of a controversial T-Mobile 5G cell tower installed on the smokestack of a Wyandotte school.
The motion was granted Friday morning by Judge Adel Harb on behalf of three residents who live near Washington Elementary School, 1440 Superior Blvd.
The plaintiffs are listed as Kathryn Teets, Lisa Beck and Melissa Waara. However, the main group of people who have publicly opposed the cell tower are a large group of parents of children who attend the school.
Phones that emit the most – and least – radiation (bad news if you’re an Android user)
The FCC says the radiation coming from your cellphone is no big deal. A cancer surgeon friend told me he begs to differ.
While public health experts continue to debate the issue and the public’s own worries may be overblown, perhaps the best approach is ‘better safe than sorry.’
That’s certainly been the approach of the attorneys for the manufacturers, who have helped craft their mobile phone’s manuals and legal notices.
Modern iPhones, including the 14 Pro Max and the iPhone SE, recommend that their customers ‘use a hands-free option, such as the built-in speakerphone, headphones or other similar accessories’ to ‘reduce exposure to RF [radio frequency] energy.’
These radio frequency exposures, according to Germany’s Federal Office for Radiation, can be exceptionally high from some mobile devices — with a few energetic Android phones topping the list.
State may urge cellphone bans in schools
Jeffrey Riley, the state’s education commissioner, said this week that Massachusetts may begin encouraging school districts to ban cellphone use in schools, amid growing concerns that they have become a distraction and that the heavy use of social media on them can pose mental health risks.
Riley announced that the state would “likely” begin providing matching grants of up to $1 million in total across the state to districts that are interested in piloting changes to their cellphone policy, but the state is not mandating restrictions “at this time.” Riley did not say what the grants would pay for, but some districts have given students pouches to hold their phones throughout the day.
BREAKING NEWS: Science and Public Health Organizations Demand the FDA Comply with the Law on Wireless Radiation
Back in 1968, Congress passed Public Law 90-602, “An Act to Amend the Public Health Service Act to provide for the protection of the public health from radiation emissions from electronic products.” In its Declaration of Purpose, Congress wrote, “The Congress hereby declares that the public health and safety must be protected from the dangers of electronic product radiation.”
Congress went on to prescribe certain mandatory activities which FDA is required to carry out. These are not optional. They are not dependent on any “finding” by the FDA or subject to interpretation. This is black-letter law, pure and simple.
Our Opinion: Manchester makes the right call on proposed cell tower site
When the Manchester Selectboard and Manchester Planning Commission decided on May 2 that they could not support locating a communications tower on Side Road, just off Depot Street, they made the right decision.
A letter from those two boards to the Public Utility Commission, sent last week, sums up the boards’ reasoning. The PUC should consider it carefully and, if AT&T proceeds with its proposal, likewise find that the proposed site is not suitable for a 140-foot tower or the infrastructure that comes with it.
Saying no wasn’t a difficult decision for the Selectboard and Planning Commission. The May 2 hearing, moved to the Manchester Community Library to accommodate more residents, turned out nearly unanimous opposition to the plan based on several factors.
Mobile phone calls linked with increased risk of high blood pressure
Several articles, including this one from Medical X press, relay a recent Chinese study indicating an increased risk of high blood pressure if you phone for more than 30 minutes a week.
Talking on a mobile for 30 minutes or more per week is linked with a 12% increased risk of high blood pressure compared with less than 30 minutes, according to research published today in European Heart Journal—Digital Health.
“It’s the number of minutes people spend talking on a mobile that matter for heart health, with more minutes meaning greater risk,” said study author Professor Xianhui Qin of Southern Medical University, Guangzhou, China. “Years of use or employing a hands-free set-up had no influence on the likelihood of developing high blood pressure. More studies are needed to confirm the findings.”
