This week, Mary Holland, Children’s Health Defense president, and Polly Tommey, co-producer of “Vaxxed,” covered the latest headlines on COVID-19, Big Pharma and other issues, including news that the latest data from the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System, or VAERS, reports 29,162 deaths following COVID-19 vaccines.

Polly and Mary also discussed the news that Pfizer has inked a $3.2 billion agreement with the U.S. government for 105 million doses of its COVID-19 vaccine. Plus, a new analysis of Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccine trial data shows the risk of serious injury following the vaccine is greater than the reduction in COVID-19 hospitalizations.

Also on tap this week: Big Pharma is desperate to get COVID-19 vaccines on the childhood schedule before the “emergency” ends.

More of this week’s highlights:

  • Elmo has received the COVID-19 vaccine.
  • The White House said it plans to send out tens of thousands of monkeypox vaccine doses immediately, amid fears that the U.S. is undercounting cases because of insufficient testing.
  • Scientists have developed a PCR test for monkeypox. “Somehow this sounds familiar,” said Mary.
  • Health officials warn that monkeypox is now infecting children in Britain.
  • The Biden administration said it ordered 2.5 million more doses of Bavarian Nordic’s Jynneos monkeypox vaccine, while the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said it was seeking to expand the vaccine for children, despite no known cases yet in children in the U.S.
  • The Biden administration ordered 2.5 million more doses of monkeypox vaccine, while the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said it was seeking to expand the vaccine for children, despite no known cases yet in children in the U.S.

  • The World Health Organization called for “urgent” action to prevent the spread of monkeypox in Europe, noting that cases had tripled in the region over the past two weeks. “It’s deja vu,” said Polly. “We are keeping an eye on the World Health Organization.”
  • Israel’s Health Ministry coronavirus commissioner implored the public to wear masks. “This is actually going on all over the world,” said Polly.
  • A cat infected a human with coronavirus. “I’m embarrassed just reading this,” said Polly.
  • Cat and dog owners who cuddle their pets when infected with COVID-19 could end up making the animals sick with the virus, according to a Canadian study. “You can’t make this up,” said Mary.
  • A tiger died from COVID-19 complications. “I don’t believe this for a minute,” said Mary.
  • The Biden administration’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate for federal employees will remain blocked until at least September after a federal appeals court agreed to reconsider its previous decision to reinstate the mandate.
  • Dr. Anthony Fauci is experiencing a rebound of COVID-19 symptoms after taking Paxlovid, Pfizer’s COVID-19 antiviral pill.
  • Pfizer seeks full U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval for Paxlovid. “This is so dangerous,” said Polly.
  • Pfizer has started testing of a universal vaccine against a variety of coronaviruses.
  • The FDA’s vaccine advisory panel voted 19 to 2 to add an Omicron component to COVID-19 boosters this fall, over objections by panel members and despite a lack of data.
  • Our future? Virtual children would exist only within the metaverse, and parents would interact with them using high-tech wearables like gloves that can deliver tactile feedback to replicate physical sensations. Mary called this “anti-human.”
  • The HPV vaccine elicits an immune response so potent that just a single dose will do, according to the World Health Organization.
  • Australia confirmed a second case of diphtheria. “This is fear-mongering,” said Mary.
  • Yates Hazlehurst, who developed autism after receiving his childhood vaccines, was the first and only vaccine-injured plaintiff whose case made it to a jury. The 20-year process revealed major flaws in a system that is supposed to compensate children for vaccine injuries. “At the heart of this is a very significant lie,” said Mary.
  • A Colorado daycare center requires children to stay home for seven days after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.
  • Judges keep recusing themselves from a New York City teachers’ vaccine case.
  • Podcast host Joe Rogan told viewers he’s in the middle of reading “The Real Anthony Fauci” by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. “This is exciting,” said Mary.
