Day 0 day of vaccine: within 8 to 12 hours: onset of high fever, chills, severe body aches and arthralgias, nausea, abdominal pain, vomiting, very sore and painful arm Day 1 after vaccine: Worsening arm pain with swelling and erythema, heat and significant tenderness to touch around injection site; fever, myalgias, arthralgias, nausea, poor appetite Day 2 after vaccine: weakness, fatigue, worsening arm pain and erythema, heat and tenderness to touch around injection site Day 3 after vaccine: fatigue, arm improved but significant itching Days 4 to 7: itching at site of injection

Almost 2 weeks after the first Pfizer vaccine (which I warned my mother against taking), my mother developed itchy red spots on her arms. The doctor agreed it was a reaction to the vaccine and gave her some cortisone cream to put on her arms. The itch has lessened, but the red spots are still there over a month later. She also developed red itchy spots on her legs a little later. She did not receive the second dose because I was able to prevent it happening. She has had previous allergic-type reactions to pharma products.
