On the latest episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast, host Joe Rogan and Dr. Sanjay Gupta, CNN’s chief medical correspondent, went head to head on a number of COVID-related topics, including the mainstream media’s narrative about the vaccines, vaccinating children, natural immunity and ivermectin.

Rogan accused Gupta and CNN of “knowingly” telling “willing lies” about ivermectin, a drug Rogan used to successfully treat his own case of COVID.

After Rogan accused CNN of incorrectly telling its audience he had taken “horse dewormer,” Gupta responded by saying “horse dewormer is not a flattering thing, I get that.”

Rogan told Gupta it’s not a matter of flattering or not flattering but that “it’s a lie, it’s a lie on a news network, a willing lie that [CNN] is conscious of.”

Rogan said, “It’s not a mistake that [CNN is] unfavorably framing [ivermectin] as veterinary medicine.”

Rogan asked Gupta why a professional news outlet such as CNN would do this when ivermectin had been “shown to stop viral replication in vitro … and has been prescribed to billions of people … why would they lie and say that’s horse dewormer?”

“Don’t you think a lie like that is dangerous on a news network?” asked Rogan.

“They shouldn’t have said it was horse dewormer,” Gupta conceded, adding that he  “doesn’t know” why CNN lied about ivermectin.
